Dnyandeep College of Pharmacy, under the aegis of Dnyandeep Shikshan Prasarak Mandal, successfully conducted a two-day workshop on "Extraction and Isolation of Phytoconstituents" from March 22 to 23, 2025, at its campus in Boraj, Taluka Khed, District Ratnagiri. The event was organized in collaboration with Shri B. V. Patel Education Trust, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, and the Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India (APTI) Maharashtra State Branch.
The workshop aimed to deepen participants' understanding of the fundamental principles and techniques involved in the extraction and isolation of phytoconstituents. It provided hands-on experience in various extractions, isolations, and purification methods, addressed challenges and limitations in the field, and fostered collaboration among attendees from academia, industry and research institutions.
Dr. Kirti S. Laddha, Professor of Pharmacognosy at the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences & Technology, ICT, Mumbai, served as the resource person, sharing his extensive expertise with the participants.
The workshop was convened by Dr. Sujit K. Nagare, Principal of Dnyandeep College of Pharmacy, and Dr. Neeta Shrivastava, Deputy Director of Shri B. V. Patel Education Trust, Ahmedabad. Mr. Nilesh V. Thorat, Associate Professor at Dnyandeep College of Pharmacy, coordinated the event.
Limited to 25 participants, the workshop provided an intimate setting for in-depth learning and interaction. Attendees expressed appreciation for the practical skills acquired and the opportunity to engage with experts and peers in the field of phytoconstituent research.
