Dnyandeep College of Pharmacy, under the aegis of Dnyandeep Shikshan Prasarak Mandal, successfully conducted a two-day workshop on "Extraction and Isolation of Phytoconstituents" from March 22 to 23, 2025, at its campus in Boraj, Taluka Khed, District Ratnagiri. The event was organized in collaboration with Shri B. V. Patel Education Trust, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, and the Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India (APTI) Maharashtra State Branch.
The workshop aimed to deepen participants' understanding of the fundamental principles and techniques involved in the extraction and isolation of phytoconstituents. It provided hands-on experience in various extractions, isolations, and purification methods, addressed challenges and limitations in the field, and fostered collaboration among attendees from academia, industry and research institutions.
Dr. Kirti S. Laddha, Professor of Pharmacognosy at the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences & Technology, ICT, Mumbai, served as the resource person, sharing his extensive expertise with the participants.
The workshop was convened by Dr. Sujit K. Nagare, Principal of Dnyandeep College of Pharmacy, and Dr. Neeta Shrivastava, Deputy Director of Shri B. V. Patel Education Trust, Ahmedabad. Mr. Nilesh V. Thorat, Associate Professor at Dnyandeep College of Pharmacy, coordinated the event.
Limited to 25 participants, the workshop provided an intimate setting for in-depth learning and interaction. Attendees expressed appreciation for the practical skills acquired and the opportunity to engage with experts and peers in the field of phytoconstituent research.

ज्ञानदीप फार्मसी महाविद्यालयामध्ये राष्ट्रीय फार्मसी शिक्षण दिवस उत्साहात साजरा
ज्ञानदीप शिक्षण प्रसारक मंडळ खेड रत्नागिरी संचालित ज्ञानदीप कॉलेज ऑफ फार्मसी, महाविद्यालयामध्ये ६ मार्च २०२५ रोजी "राष्ट्रीय फार्मसी शिक्षण दिवसाच्या" च्या निमित्ताने वैज्ञानिक पोस्टर सादरीकरण स्पर्धेचे आयोजन केले. या स्पर्धेमध्ये विद्यार्थ्यांनी ४० पेक्षा जास्त पोस्टर्स सादर केले गेले, ज्यात औषधशास्त्रातील विविध नवीन संशोधन, तंत्रज्ञान आणि रुग्णसेवा संबंधित विषयांचा समावेश होता.
कार्यक्रमाचे उद्घाटन श्रीयुत प्रवीण वाघचोरे (प्राध्यापक, गोंविदराव निकम कॉलेज ऑफ फार्मसी, सावर्डे) यांनी केले. या विशेष कार्यक्रमासाठी प्रमुख पाहुणे म्हणून श्रीयुत संतोष गिल्डा (माजी खजिनदार, केमिस्ट ड्रगिस्ट असोसिएशन, रत्नागिरी), श्री. रुपल पाटणे (अध्यक्ष, महाविद्यालय विकास समिती), आणि डॉ. सुजीत नगरे (प्राचार्य) उपस्थित होते.
स्पर्धेचे आयोजन विद्यार्थ्यांच्या संशोधनात्मक दृष्टिकोनाला चालना देण्यासाठी केले गेले होते. विद्यार्थ्यांनी पोस्टर्सद्वारे आपल्या संशोधनाच्या विविध पैलूंवर प्रकाश टाकला. या स्पर्धेत विद्यार्थ्यांचे वैज्ञानिक दृष्टिकोन आणि औषधशास्त्रातील समृद्ध विचारांची सरासरी प्रदर्शित झाली, जे फक्त त्यांच्या शैक्षणिक स्तरावरच नव्हे तर सामाजिक आणि वैज्ञानिक दृष्टीकोनातूनही महत्त्वपूर्ण आहे.
प्रथम वर्ष विद्यार्थ्यां नी औषध निर्माण शास्त्रातील नामांकित वैज्ञानिकांची माहिती दर्शवणारी पोस्टर्स तसेच द्वितीय वर्ष विद्यार्थ्यांना सूक्ष्मजीवांच्या मुळे मिळणारे फायदे व तोटे तसेच तृतीय वर्ष बी. फार्मसी विद्यार्थ्यांना दुर्मिळ आजार (ऑर्फन डिसीजेस) या विषयावर पोस्टर सादर केली
सदर स्पर्धेमध्ये तृतीय वर्ष फार्मसी मधून कु श्रुष्टी चाळके आणि शुभम चाळके, द्वितीय वर्ष फार्मसी मधून कु मानसी भंडारे आणि सिद्धी पंदेरे तसेच प्रथम वर्ष फार्मसी मधून कु नसीमा सांगळे, अमिमा सय्यद आणि भूमिका राऊत यांनी प्रथम क्रमांक पटकावला विजेत्या स्पर्धकांचा मान्यवरांच्या हस्ते रोख पारितोषिक देऊन गौरव करण्यात आला. श्रीयुत वाघचोरे सर यांच्या मार्गदर्शनामुळे विद्यार्थ्यांना नवीन शोध आणि तंत्रज्ञानावर चर्चा करण्याची उत्तम संधी मिळाली.
कार्यक्रमाची सांगता करताना डॉ. सुजीत नागरे यांनी विद्यार्थ्यांना भविष्यकाळात औषधशास्त्राच्या क्षेत्रात कार्यरत होण्याची प्रेरणा दिली. सदर स्पर्धेला नियोजन श्री.तन्मय पटवर्धन यांनी पाहिले.
स्पर्धेचे आयोजन आणि यशस्वी आयोजनासाठी महाविद्यालयाच्या सर्व शिक्षक, विद्यार्थी आणि सहयोगींचे अभिनंदन करण्यात आले.

This workshop is specially designed for Faculties & Researchers working in the field of Pharmacy / Ayurveda / Herbal Industry / Botany / Natural Product Chemistry. On 14th February 2025, the Dnyandeep College of Pharmacy organized an insightful guest lecture titled "Understanding the Science Behind the Substances: Unlocking the Secrets of Physical Pharmaceutics" by Prof. Maya Desai, Associate Professor at Raigad College of Pharmacy. The event, held in the college auditorium, was an enriching experience for students and faculty alike. Mr. Tanmay Patwardhan, initiated the session by highlighting the importance of physical pharmaceutics in pharmaceutical education. The primary aim of the lecture was to offer a deeper understanding of the role physical pharmaceutics plays in the development, formulation, and optimization of drug substances. Prof. Maya Desai aimed to unravel the intricate relationship between physical properties of substances and their impact on the efficacy and stability of pharmaceutical formulations.
Prof. Desai began by explaining the fundamentals of physical pharmaceutics, focusing on the behavior of drug substances in various physical states. She emphasized the significance of understanding the molecular structure, solubility, and stability of drugs

to ensure optimal therapeutic outcomes. A significant portion of the lecture was dedicated to explaining how physical properties like solubility, particle size, and polymorphism affect drug formulation. Prof. Desai illustrated how these properties dictate the bioavailability and stability of drugs, stressing the need for precise control in formulation processes.

On 19th February 2025, Dnyandeep College of Pharmacy organized a successful cleaning drive at the historic Fort Rasalgad in honor of Shivjayanti, the birth anniversary of the great Maratha king, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The event was part of the college’s ongoing efforts to contribute to community service and environmental awareness.
The cleaning drive was initiated with great enthusiasm under the leadership of Principal Dr. Sujit Nagare. Faculty members, staff, and students actively participated in the event, working together to clean and preserve the fort’s surroundings. The participants focused on removing litter, cleaning walkways, and clearing debris from the area to ensure that the heritage site remains in a pristine condition for visitors and history enthusiasts.
Fort Rasalgad, which holds significant historical importance, was chosen as the venue for this event to emphasize the importance of preserving our cultural heritage and maintaining the environmental integrity of such landmarks. The drive not only helped in the beautification of the fort but also served as an educational experience, highlighting the value of teamwork and civic responsibility among students.
Dr. Sujit Nagare, Principal, Dnyandeep College of Pharmacy, expressed his pride in the active participation of students and staff. He emphasized that such initiatives not only contribute to environmental conservation but also strengthen the sense of civic duty in young minds. He thanked all the participants for their dedication and effort in making the event a success.

On 12 th January 2025, Dnyandeep College of Pharmacy organized a highly informative expert session on “Exploring Research Avenues in Pharmaceutical Sciences through Practice School and Project Work.” The session aimed to provide pharmacy students with valuable insights into the research opportunities available in pharmaceutical sciences and how they can enhance their
academic and practical knowledge through practice schools and project work. The event was attended by students and faculty members. The resource person for the session was Dr. Shailendra Gurav, Professor of Pharmacognosy at Goa College of Pharmacy, Goa. With extensive experience in both academia and research, Dr. Gurav delivered an engaging and informative session that encouraged students to explore the multifaceted world of pharmaceutical research.
A significant portion of the session was dedicated to the concept of Practice School, which is an essential element of academic programs in pharmacy. Dr. Gurav described how practice schools offer students the opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge in real-world settings. By working in industry settings, research labs, and healthcare institutions, students gain firsthand experience and develop critical skills necessary for pursuing a research-oriented career in pharmaceutical sciences. Dr. Gurav elaborated on the importance of project work in a student’s academic journey. He discussed how project work serves as an avenue for students to delve deeper into specialized areas of pharmaceutical sciences, from drug discovery to formulation development and clinical trials. Dr. Gurav encouraged students to select topics that align with their interests and long-term career goals, ensuring they engage in projects that could contribute to advancing scientific knowledge.
