📍Jew Town, Kochi
I visited Jew Town, in Fort Kochi, Kerala .It’s a small street, but there’s a lot to notice when you walk through it. the shops, the colours, the old signboards, and the quiet vibe that makes the lane feel beautiful.
At the end of the street is the Paradesi Synagogue, built in 1568.
One thing I didn’t know before coming here is that the synagogue once shared a wall with a Hindu temple. That part genuinely caught my attention, two different places of worship standing right next to each other.
Inside, the tiles, lamps and small details tell you how many influences have passed through this place over the years. Even the clock tower outside shows time in three scripts.
Did you know this place had such an old story behind it?
