With profound grief, we mourn the demise of Dr. Sankaranarayanan R., our Director of Preventive Oncology and former Chief of the Cancer Screening Group at the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), WHO.
'Sankar Sir,' as we fondly knew him, had been with us since the founding days of Karkinos and championed the cause of early cancer detection for most of his professional career. An inspiring teacher and researcher, he had a profoundly positive impact on the lives of everyone he interacted with.
Our prayers and deepest condolences are with his family during these difficult moments of grief. While we will miss him dearly, it is our resolve to continue his mission with the same spirit and conviction of making a difference to the quality of lives of people.
