A 50 yr old gentleman was experiencing fullness of abdomen and loss of hunger for a year or so. He finally decided to visit us and on initial examination, we felt a big mass in his abdomen. We did a CT Scan abdomen. this detected a large tumour almost occupying the entire abdomen as seen in pic. The tumour was arising from the pancreas. After adequate preparation we operated on him and managed to successfully remove the tumour without any blood loss or any issues. Adequate pancreas was left behind as well. The tumour weighed more than 2 kgs. Our patient was discharged home in seven days time. The pathology of the tumour was a Large serous cystic neoplasm of Pancreas. These tumours are usually not problematic, and can be observed. But when they reach such big size, they obviously need to be removed.
