Sharon murder case : the poison used was not copper sulphate , but paraquat dichloride a deadly poison with more than 90 percent mortality rate .

The blisters and burns in the oral cavity and in the alimentary tract was a clue to this being the poison .

We had published a research paper on this deadly poison in 2020. This is a poison with nearly 100 percent kill rate and with no antidote, there is nothing much we can do to save the patient . Also interestingly, giving oxygen to the patient will further worsen the condition and the patient will die sooner .

Around 15 percent of patients with COVID 19, report loss of smell and taste. This symptom is found to be more common among young and healthy adults and is considered to be a good prognostic sign . Recently, a new variation observed in this symptom is the hypersensitivity to salt taste. Patients with covid are now reporting that food tastes very salty to them . Even when they cannot sense other tastes, salt taste seems to be intact and predominant. Conversely, people who report increased saltiness of food recently , on testing are found to be positive for COVID .

It was on this day last year , november 17th , 2019, the first case of Coronavirus was identified for a 55 year old male in Hubei province, Wuhan, China. From that day it had been changing the lives of people around the world .
