A Historic Milestone for Indira Gandhi Cooperative Hospital, Ernakulam.
From the establishment of our Emergency Medicine Department in March 2024 to the launch of the MRCEM Academy in March 2025 with academic collaboration with studyMEDIC our vision has remained focused: to build a centre of excellence that delivers both high-quality emergency care and outstanding medical education. We are proud to share that our first batch of MRCEM Part A candidates, who appeared for the exam on 31st October 2025, have achieved an incredible 100% success rate โ within just six months of starting the academy.
This success is the result of a strong academic foundation, expert mentorship, and hands-on clinical exposure. Indira Gandhi Cooperative Hospital , Ernakulam has played a vital role in supporting and clinically training students, giving them the real-world emergency experience needed to grow into confident and capable physicians.
We extend our sincere thanks to our academic partner, StudyMEDIC, whose dedicated faculty and structured training methods were instrumental in preparing our students for success.
We also acknowledge the efforts of Dr. Nadeem, whose vision to start Emergency Medicine training at IGCH- EKM has laid the foundation for a new generation of skilled, well-trained emergency physicians.
While many institutions focus solely on manpower, we are proud to have created a programme that nurtures competence, clinical excellence, and leadership in emergency care.
From a humble tertiary care centre to a recognised academic leader in Emergency Medicine โ this is a proud and defining moment for Indira Gandhi Cooperative Hospital,Ernakulam.
