Dr. Panicker is a true native of Kerala having been born and raised in Alleppey. He received his Bachelor degree with honors in Botany from Kerala University. He received his MBBS in 1973 from Trivandrum Medial College and moved to rural areas Kerala Government as a General Practitioner for 10 years. Dr. Panicker completed diploma in Anesthesia from Calicut Medical College in 1983 and remained at the Trivandrum Medical College where he also received his MD in 1986. He completed Diploma in Gynecology from Calicut Medical College in 1987 and served as a Consultant Gynecologist in suburban areas and Anesthesiologist in various Government hospital.
