2025 Nobel Prize Highlights Regulatory T Cell Research
This year, the Nobel committee once again spotlighted immune system science. This year’s winners, Mary E. Brunkow, Fred Ramsdell, and Shimon Sakaguchi, were honored for their discoveries about regulatory T cells. These special immune cells act like peacekeepers for the immune system, preventing the body from turning its defenses against itself. Their work helps explain autoimmune diseases and opens the door to new therapies for conditions like diabetes, allergies, and even organ rejection. We want to congratulate these three scientists on their amazing discovery and thank them for their hard work. The more we know about the immune system, the easier it is to support it.
The immune system is at the forefront of the scientific community and its research, and we couldn’t be more excited. After all, we are The Immune System Company®!
