MOSCON 2025, the Institutional Research Day, was held on May 24, 2025, organised by the IRB of MOSC Medical College. This one-day conference was a vibrant celebration of academic inquiry and innovation, offering a platform for undergraduate and postgraduate students to present research, compete, and engage with experts. The event began with an inaugural ceremony at the Skills Lab Conference Hall, featuring inspiring addresses by Shri Joy P Jacob, and other dignitaries. The highlight of the day was the scientific session by Dr Krishnan Balagopal on “Perils and Pitfalls in Undergraduate Research,” which offered valuable guidance on navigating research challenges. The conference included 24 oral presentations by undergraduates and 28 posters by MOSC faculty and postgraduates. Winners were awarded cash prizes and certificates. The KC Mammen Memorial Oncopathology Quiz , conducted by the Department of Pathology , saw 51 teams compete, with MOSC’s own Dave Tony and Ardhra Vijaykumar emerging victorious.The valedictory ceremony, led by Dr Sojan Ipe, marked a fitting end to the successful event. With plans to expand and diversify future editions, MOSCON 2025 affirmed the institution’s dedication to nurturing research excellence.

The Department of Anatomy proudly organized a Continuing Medical Education (CME) program entitled “HOMOVITRUVIUS – The Beauty of Creation” on May 23, 2025. This esteemed event was inaugurated by the Secretary and CEO of MOSC Medical Mission, Sri. Joy P. Jacob, along with Chaplain Fr. John Kuraiakose. We were honoured to have Dean Dr. K.K. Diwakar, Deputy Dean Dr. Jeeji Palocaren, Director of Strategic Planning & Medical Services Dr. Sojan Ipe, and Professor and Head of the Anatomy Department Dr. Rani Nallathamby grace the occasion and share their insights with attendees. During the CME, we were pleased to present certificates to the winners of various competitive events organized as part of this initiative. The program featured three enlightening scientific sessions that celebrated the life and contributions of Leonardo da Vinci to anatomy and medical sciences. Additionally, these sessions provided valuable insights into the complex relationship between evolution and atavism as influenced by genetic factors.
