The field of" Interventional neuroradiology" has grown leaps and bounds in the last decade and changed the way we treat some of the complex neuro vascular problems in modern medicine.. sharing some of the advanced endovascular procedures performed in the last few weeks at Kolenchery Institute of neurological disorders ( KIND)
1. Elderly male with recurrent sub dural hemorrhage, underwent successful middle meningeal artery embolization to prevent future recurrence of SDH
2. Middle aged female with incidentally detected multiple intracranial aneurysm underwent novel flow diverter stent to allow healing of aneurysm and prevent fatal rupture
3. Elderly female with ruptured acom aneurysm - underwent successful endovascular coiling of aneurysm to prevent fatal rerupture
4. Young girl with avidly vascular posterior fossa brain tumor - underwent preoperative embolization of tumor feeders to reduce intraoperative blood loss
5. Elderly male with left hemispheric stroke due to ICA and distal ACA occlusion - underwent successful mechanical thrombectomy with complete recanalization of occluded ICA and ACA.
6. Elderly male with right hemispheric stroke due to segmental MCA occlusion - underwent mechanical thrombectomy with successful recanalization and good clinical recovery
