The spirit of Christmas came alive at Kolhapur Cancer Centre on December 25, as KCC CCA celebrated the season of joy with children, made even more special with the generous support of Avirat Multi Purpose Charitable Organisation.

Laughter, music, and festive cheer filled the day as the children sang, danced, played musical chairs, cut cakes, and enjoyed every moment of togetherness. The biggest smiles appeared when Santa Claus arrived with gifts, spreading excitement and warmth all around.

A day filled with happiness, shared moments, and heartfelt memories — reminding us that joy and kindness are the true spirit of Christmas.

Kolhapur Cancer Centre | Cancer Centers of America marked a proud academic achievement at the 45th AROICON 2025, Kolkata (Annual Conference of the Association of Radiation Oncologists of India), where a research e-poster from the Radiation Oncology team was selected for Best Paper category oral presentation and honoured with a Best Paper Award along with a travel grant.

The study, comparing ultrasound-guided versus CBCT-based bladder filling protocols in cervical cancer radiotherapy, demonstrated that ultrasound can closely approximate CBCT volumes and improve target volume compliance—offering significant value in resource-constrained settings.

This recognition reflects the centre’s continued commitment to academic excellence, research-driven oncology care, and evidence-based clinical practice, and highlights the importance of national platforms like AROI in advancing cancer care knowledge.

A meaningful step toward stronger critical care for cancer patients.

The Innerwheel Club of Bombay North, with the support of V Care, installed essential ICU equipment at Kolhapur Cancer Centre (KCC) | Cancer Centers of America — including an ICU ventilator, defibrillator, and dehumidifier — enhancing life-saving support for patients in need.

The upgraded ICU setup was inaugurated on 21st November 2025 by Association President Jyoti Mahipal and District Chairman (District 314) Lakshmi Singh, alongside the club’s leadership team for 2025–2026, President Chahna Gandhi and Secretary Dr. Vidya Mukund.

This thoughtful initiative reflects a shared commitment to improving cancer care infrastructure and making a real difference where it matters most.

KCC | CCA, in collaboration with ESIC, successfully hosted a CME Symposium focused on advancing multidisciplinary cancer care.
The session brought together 40 ESIC doctors, fostering meaningful academic exchange and strengthening collaborative efforts in oncology.

Expert speakers—Dr. Kiran Bagul, Dr. Praveen Adusumilli, Dr. Parag Watave, and Dr. Prasad Tanawade—shared valuable updates on oral cancer treatment, highlighting emerging trends, evolving technologies, and evidence-based clinical approaches.

Held on 08th October 2025 at Hotel K-Tree, Kolhapur, the CME concluded with a networking dinner, encouraging insightful discussions and professional connections aimed at improving patient outcomes.

A productive evening dedicated to learning, collaboration, and elevating cancer care.

Kolhapur Cancer Centre (KCC) | Cancer Centers of America (CCA), in collaboration with the Kolhapur Obstetrics and Gynaecological Society, successfully conducted a Panel Discussion CME on 12th November 2025 at The Pavillion Hotel, Kolhapur.

The session focused on “Interesting Advanced Cancer Cases Discussion”, bringing together leading experts who shared clinical insights, real-world experience, and evolving approaches in modern cancer care.

The discussion featured valuable contributions from Dr. Suraj Pawar, Dr. Kiran Bagul, Dr. Parag Watve, Dr. Yogesh Anap, Dr. Prasad Tanawade, Dr. Ashwini Mane-Patil, Dr. Navnath Dhone, Dr. Chaitanya Patil, and Dr. Praveen Adusumilli, bringing diverse clinical perspectives to the session.

The event was moderated by Dr. Avinash Anand, with a special address by Dr. Reshma Pawar on “KCC–CCA: Regional Cancer Care Excellence.”

The CME concluded with valuable academic exchange, enthusiastic participation from clinicians, and a shared commitment toward strengthening comprehensive cancer care in the region.

Children’s Day at KCC | CCA was a celebration of courage, joy, and togetherness.

With the support of Avirat Multi-purpose Charitable Organisation, paediatric cancer patients and their families enjoyed a day filled with laughter—from musical chairs and ball games to simple team activities that lifted spirits and built confidence.

Children participated with infectious enthusiasm, parents joined in the fun, and the atmosphere was filled with energy and smiles. Winners were awarded certificates, while every child received a participation certificate and snacks. A collective cake-cutting ceremony added the perfect touch of joy and unity to the celebration.

Moments like these remind us that healing is not only medical—it’s emotional, social, and deeply human. Celebrating the strength of these young fighters and their families inspires hope and resilience every day.
