A group of seven doctors from different specialties came together in the year 1996 with a vision to set up a multi-specialty medical centre in Kolhapur City. Their dream metamorphosed into Prerana Hospital Limited's erstwhile Aadhar Nursing Home which later on turned out as as "Aadhar Hospital". This medical centre has steadily progressed & established itself as one of the premier medical

setup serving the community in and around Kolhapur district including adjoining cities of South Maharashtra and North Karnataka. रुग्णांसाठी सर्व अत्याधुनिक सुविधांनी सुसज्ज असलेल्या ॲस्टर आधार हॉस्पिटलमध्ये ‘सर्जिकल रोबोटिक्स’ आणि ‘IVF सेवा’ यांचा भव्य शुभारंभ राज्याचे आरोग्य व कुटुंब कल्याण मंत्री तथा कोल्हापूर जिल्ह्याचे पालकमंत्री मा. ना. श्री. प्रकाश आबिटकर यांच्या शुभहस्ते आणि मान्यवर डॉक्टरांच्या उपस्थितीत मोठ्या उत्साहात संपन्न झाला.

यावेळी कार्यक्रमाची सुरुवात ॲस्टर आधार हॉस्पिटलचे कार्यकारी संचालक डॉ. उल्हास दामले यांनी राज्याचे आरोग्यमंत्री मा. आबिटकर यांचे पुष्पगुच्छ देऊन स्वागत करून झाली. यावेळी बोलताना डॉ. दामले यांनी ॲस्टर आधार हॉस्पिटलच्या रुग्णसेवेच्या कार्याचे विविध टप्पे मांडले. तसेच त्यानंतर ॲस्टर आधार हॉस्पिटलचे चीफ ऑफ मेडिकल सर्विसेस व संचालक डॉ. अजय केणी यांनी मा. प्रकाश आबिटकर यांच्या कार्याविषयी, कर्तुत्वाविषयी थोडक्यात परिचय करून दिला. त्यानंतर डॉ. निखिल गुळवणी यांनी वैद्यकीय क्षेत्रातील महत्त्वाच्या टप्प्यावर सुरू होणाऱ्या या सर्जिकल रोबोट तंत्रज्ञानाविषयी थोडक्यात माहिती उपस्थितांना दिली.
यावेळी बोलताना राज्याचे आरोग्य मंत्री मा. प्रकाश आबिटकर यांनी आपल्याच कर्मभूमीत, मातृभूमीतील वैद्यकीय क्षेत्रात होत असलेल्या या विकासाच्या कार्याबाबत समाधान व्यक्त केले.

याप्रसंगी ॲस्टर आधार हॉस्पिटलचे युनिट हेड डॉ. डॅलन फर्नांडिस यांनी उपस्थित सर्वांचे सर्वांचे आभार मानत नागरिकांना जागतिक दर्जाची, सर्वसमावेशक आणि विश्वासार्ह आरोग्यसेवा देण्यासाठी ॲस्टर आधार हॉस्पिटल नेहमीच कटिबद्ध आहे असा विश्वास व्यक्त केला...
