Self-awareness isn’t the same as self-criticism.
One observes. The other attacks.
When clients begin to reflect, they often say -
“I notice my patterns, but it makes me feel worse.”
Awareness shows us the wound.
Compassion helps us tend to it.
The goal isn’t to judge the pattern, but to understand why it formed and how it operates
