So wearing cotton or woollen socks is an excellent idea to get ample warmth for keeping your feet warm. Burns heal better when moist and covered, and the exposed nerve endings can make them more painful. However, how they should be covered depends on what type of burn it is.
For a Minor Burn
Loosely bandage the burn with a sterile gauze bandage to keep air off the area, reduce pain and protect blistered skin.
For a Major Burn
Cover the area with a cool and moist bandage or a clean cloth.
PS: Never use cotton to cover the burn
