The anterior division of internal iliac artery and illustration of two of its branches
1.Uterine artery
2.Superior hypogastric artery
Note internal iliac artery with its anterior and posterior division supply pelvic viscera and pelvic side wall.
During exsanguinating hemorrhage like in case of pelvic trauma or postpartum haemorrhage ligation of the anterior division can be life saving.
This particular case was a patient of ca cervix..I dissected out the branches to demonstrate it to my students.
I hope it might be useful to others as well.

Redo thyroid surgery is often challenging.We do it for sake of completion or in case of recurrence .Both nerves and parathyroid are at increased risk of injury in such cases.Anatomical planes are blurred and often trachea and nerves are shifted out of their normal place.This video illustrates how such procedure can be done safely and difficulty one is expected to encounter.I hope you will enjoy this video and donot forget to share and subscribe my YouTube channel for more such engaging contents.
