There is no age to stop learning. This was a fantastic and rare opportunity by Intuitive Surgicals to arrrange a TR 500 training in India(generally happens in the US). I am obliged to Intutive surgicals for selecting me as one of the 4 surgeons in India to train.
Life comes to a full circle. I interacted with Dr P C Lim way back in 2013 at Kyoto Japan at the Asian Congress. His deliberation that day inspired me a lot and I always wanted an opportunity to train with him. So here we are 11 years from there and what a session it was on cadaver at Ramaiah Institute of advanced learning, Bangaluru.
In the years in between I had grown as a robotic surgeon and become a TR 300 trainer myself.
I was amazed with the sheer enthusiasm of Dr Lim and his hunger to learn from other surgeons.
I picked up a lots of tips and trick which will definitely help me perform better on the console. More important, I also learnt a lot about proctoring and training new surgeons from the super proctor.
I have no words to express my gratitude to him and the Intuitive India team - Dr Bhupen, Anand, Kamal , Prateek and beloved Kaushik.
