Pregnancy in Perimenopausal Women
Perimenopause does not mean the end of motherhood. While natural fertility declines, IVF has created new and hopeful possibilities for women wishing to conceive in this phase of life.
With proper evaluation, personalised IVF treatment, and close monitoring, many perimenopausal women can achieve healthy pregnancies. Age matters—but science, planning, and timely care matter more.
I recently had the opportunity to deliver a talk on pregnancy and IVF in perimenopausal women, highlighting realistic expectations, success stories, and the importance of individualised fertility care.
👉 Irregular periods ≠ zero chances
👉 IVF offers a planned and positive path to pregnancy
👉 Early consultation improves outcomes

Is ultrasound safe in pregnancy?
Yes. Ultrasound uses sound waves, not radiation, so it does not harm the baby.
It has been used safely in pregnancy for decades.
Ultrasound helps us: ✔ confirm pregnancy
✔ check baby’s growth
✔ detect complications early
✔ ensure mother and baby are safe
When done only when medically required and by trained professionals, ultrasound is completely safe.
💡 Remember: Avoid unnecessary scans, but never skip a doctor-advised ultrasound.

Bed Rest After Embryo Transfer – Myth vs Fact
Strict bed rest after embryo transfer is NOT necessary.
The embryo does not fall out with normal movement.
15–30 minutes rest after transfer is enough.
You may walk, sit, bathe, and do light routine work.
Avoid heavy exercise, running, and lifting weight.
What helps implantation most is good sleep and low stress.
A calm mind supports a healthy uterus 🌱

Azoos***mia is a condition where no s***m are found in the semen and is an important cause of male infertility.
It affects nearly 10–15% of infertile men.
There are two main types – Obstructive azoos***mia, where s***m production is normal but blocked, and Non-obstructive azoos***mia, where s***m production is reduced or absent.
Hormonal imbalance, genetic factors, infections, surgery, or testicular failure may be responsible.
Diagnosis requires repeat semen analysis, hormone tests, and imaging.
In selected cases, genetic evaluation is essential.
Treatment depends on the cause.
Surgical correction or s***m retrieval techniques may help.
With ICSI and IVF, fatherhood is still possible for many men.
Early evaluation gives the best outcomes.

From hope to heartbeat… and now to homecoming 🍼

Not every follow-up comes with files…
Some come with tiny hands, big smiles, and full hearts.
Moments like these remind us why we do what we do.

From planning, patience, prayers and perseverance…
to pregnancy, delivery, and now a post-delivery follow-up with this beautiful family and their miracle 🤍

Seeing parents return—not with reports, but with their baby in their arms—
is the real reward behind every long day, every late night, every decision made with care
Grateful to be part of journeys that end in love, life and laughter.

*The Truest Reward. The Greatest Award.*

These images tell a story no trophy ever can.
From tiny embryos under the microscope…
to the first cry, the first breath, the first heartbeat held in our hands.
This is not just science.
This is faith, patience, sleepless nights, and unwavering hope.

Every pregnancy is carried with prayers.
Every newborn reminds us why we chose this journey.

For the Mags IVF Team, this is our real achievement.
Not numbers. Not statistics.
But lives created, families completed, dreams fulfilled.

Each baby in these pictures is an award.
Each smile, each tiny hand, is a reward beyond words.

Proud of our doctors, embryologists, nurses, counselors, and every staff member who stood beside couples when hope felt fragile — and helped turn it into reality.

This is what success looks like.
This is Mags IVF.

“Scared of IVF injections? Let’s clear the fear.”
• “IVF injections sound scary—but they’re not.”

IVF Injections – What You Should Know

IVF injections are given to gently stimulate the ovaries so that more eggs grow in one cycle.
More eggs mean better chances of forming healthy embryos.
These medicines are short-term, safe, and carefully monitored with scans and blood tests.
They do not damage the ovaries and do not reduce future fertility.
Every woman’s body is different, so the dose is personalised.
That’s why expert guidance and regular monitoring are important.
✨ IVF is not force — it is science supporting nature.

✨ A moment of pure magic inside the OT today.
Some journeys begin with hope… some with prayers…
And some begin in an embryology lab — with a tiny embryo that carries an entire family’s dreams.
From watching those first dividing cells under the microscope…
to holding this beautiful newborn in my hands today —
the journey has been nothing short of miraculous. Every IVF baby, every embryo transfer, every anxious wait for a positive test…
it all leads to this moment —
when a new life finally takes its first breath, and a family’s long-awaited dream becomes real.

Standing here today, I am deeply humbled by the trust families place in me.
This is not just medical science; it is emotion, patience, strength, and faith all woven together.
Grateful to my wonderful OT team for their dedication,
and grateful to this brave mother who fought every step with courage.
Moments like these remind me why I chose this journey —
to help life grow from a single embryo to a heartbeat in someone’s arms. ♥️
