“Better habits for better health”
Better health doesn’t come overnight, and we all know old habits die hard. Slowly incorporate one or two new habits to begin your health journey, hopefully, the small changes listed out will help improve your mental and physical health.
*Exercise for all-around wellbeing - Aerobic exercises such as running, walking, and dancing has been proven to reduce anxiety and depression by raising self-esteem and cognitive function.
*Reading books daily - Reading for just 15 to 30 minutes a day could help your brain form cognitive maps as it learns, which in turn keeps your brain sharp and alert.
*Meditate daily - Meditation lengthen attention span, fight memory loss, improve sleep, and even reduce pain levels.
*Stretch regularly- Stretching improves your flexibility, which helps you maintain a range of motion in the joints, muscles, necks. Spend around a minute on each stretching exercise and hold each stretch for 15 seconds, 3-4 times per stretch.
*Drinking sufficient water - Dehydration affects one’s physical performance and cognitive performance such as disrupting mood, impairing short-term memory, concentration, and more. Keep sipping water on a regular basis.
*Good emotional health - Maintaining good mental health is as important as keeping our bodies strong and healthy.
