Bentall procedure has been a fascinating surgery for any cardiac surgeon…. Did this very recently on a very high risk patient admitted in failure with raised creatinine and LVEF 35% … All is well that ends well… patient is extubated after overnight ventilation with minimal inotropic support and minimal drain … pt doing fine…😊😊😊😊

This December month has been very challenging not because we did 64 CTVS cases in a single theatre , but because of complex and challenging cases we did this month… some of the interesting operative procedures are mixed TAPVC repair, AV CANAL REPAIR, MITRAL VALVE REPAIR, AORTIC VALVE REPAIR, TUNNEL REPAIR FOR DORV , and of course various techniques for intracardiac repair for TOF…… and not to forget about very high risk CABGs( LEFT MAIN TVD WITH DEPRESSED LV AND WITH LOADING DOSE OF ANTIPLATELETS WITH ONGOING CHEST PAIN)……satisfied to operate on almost entire spectrum of cardiac surgeries(ranging from 3 kgs to 100 kgs and from one month to 80 years of age😊😊😊

Our post op patient came for follow up is literally not happy seeing me as i give injections… 🤔🤔🤔how ever I felt satisfied seeing his crying face as pt had complex congenital cardiac anomalies ( supramitral membrane , parachute mitral valve with mitral stenosis and Perimembranous VSD + PDA with severe pulmonary hypertension ) … was worried about post op period .but all went well …thanks to entire cardiac Team and special thanks to ITU guys … really great work done!!!😊🙏🙏🙏

Two of our little champs with complex congenital cyanosis heart disease ( univentricular heart with PS) came for follow up after surgical intervention… these patients need regular check up and follow up whole life ….. ( as per scientific paper by Samanek et al :survival without intervention in these univentricular hearts beyond first birthday is only 30%…. After intervention these patients have frequent complications which require regular follow up)…… But in our society because of poverty , illiteracy and lack of proper attitude … fail to achieve our Goal of spreading happiness…… JUST A THOUGHT!!!!!
