What are the benefits of laparoscopic inguinal hernia repair compared to open surgery?

A: Laparoscopic repair offers several advantages over traditional open hernia surgery, including:

Smaller incisions: Leads to less scarring and a better cosmetic result.

Reduced pain: Generally less postoperative pain and discomfort.

Faster recovery: Quicker return to normal activities and work. After a week you can usually resume light activities around the house. Avoid heavy lifting and strenuous activity.
