Book launch program when co-incides with 'SAMPOORNA', the novel initiative of FOGSI (All India Gynaecological Society) to reach every home of this soil to eliminate unplanned pregnancy...

It's utmost privilege to me to get the opportunity of contributing a chapter in 'TORCHLIGHT IN TORCH INFECTIONS', an ultimate guidebook by BENGAL OBSTETRICS AND GYNAECOLOGICAL SOCIETY (BOGS) in management of dangerous fetal infections within mother's womb.

My gratitute and thanks to my teacher and mentor Dr. Kusagradhi Ghosh sir for his valuable guidance as always! My sincere thanks to my another teacher, Dr. Seetha Ramamurthy Paul madam and my co-author Dr Arindam Das da!

It's really amazing to see the grand co-incidence of these great initiatives taken by FOGSI (national gynaecological society) and her member society BOGS (state gynaecological society) on a common platform!

Increased blood group awareness is critical to ensure proper blood type identification and promote safe blood donation practices for minimizing transfusion-related errors as well as reducing the huge burden of Rh-negative blood group (negative blood group) related adverse pregnancy events. Bengal Obstetrics and Gynaecological Society (BOGS) organised a blood group awareness meet. Fetal growth restriction (baby in the womb fails to grow) in early phase of pregnancy is of utmost challenge as womb environment becomes hostile to the baby, but getting her/him out from there is not possible due to extreme prematurity and inability to survive in the outer world.
