We are happy to discharge of 21 years old male after 24 days ECMO recovery & 𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗼𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗗𝗶𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗶 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆...

21 years old male patient was admitted in AMHL with fever, SOB, loose motion, vomiting & low urine output.He was diagnosed septic shock, septic myocarditis, LV dysfunction, along with acute kidney injury secondary to acute gastroenteritis.In spite of supportive care, his condition was deteriorating then Intubated & ventilated but after 1 day hypoxemia was not improving then 𝐑𝐞𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐄𝐂𝐌𝐎 𝐓𝐄𝐀𝐌( Dr. Arpan Chakraborty )→Team activated→ VV ECMO initiated→Full ECMO support & gradually hypoxemia corrected, renal replacement therapy ongoing→ later he developed GI bleed(Melena) which was managed with several units of PRBC, FFP, platelet, Cryo.... Gradually melena and renal function resolve & LV improved. Patient oriented off sedation & inotropes tapered off; ECMO decannulated after 8 days & extubated after 16 days and total stay in hospital for 24 days, discharged after 24 days...
