শ্রীশ্রীচণ্ডিকা অখিলবিশ্বের প্রকৃতিস্বরূপিণী।
তিনি পরিণামিনী নিত্যা নির্গুণ-চৈতন্য সৃষ্টি-প্রক্রিয়ায়।
যে শক্তির মধ্য দিয়ে ক্রিয়াশীলরূপে অভিব্যক্ত হন, সেই শক্তি বাক্‌ অথবা সরস্বতী;
তাঁর স্থিতিকালোচিত শক্তির নাম শ্রী বা লক্ষ্মী;
আবার সংহারকালে তাঁর যে শক্তির ক্রিয়া দৃষ্ট হয় তা-ই রুদ্রাণী দুর্গা।
একাধারে এই ত্রিমূর্তির আরাধনাই দুর্গোৎসব।
