Our Annual Picnic isn’t just a day out, it’s a reminder that individuals with intellectual & developmental disabilities deserve the same joy, space, and social belonging as anyone else.

At Gram Bangla Retreat, our interns and supported employees shared laughter, played games, decorated Christmas trees, welcomed Santa, and celebrated like every young adult should, with freedom, dignity, and inclusion.

Because participation is learning.
Exposure is growth.
And belonging is empowerment.

This International Day of Persons with Disabilities, we celebrate progress you can see. The global theme for 2025 - Fostering disability-inclusive societies for advancing social progress - mirrors the work DeepRanjani has been quietly building every day through structured training, family engagement, adaptive workplaces, and patient guidance.

And today, that vision stands tall.

Sulagna Barat has been honoured with the State Award for Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities 2025 by the West Bengal Women & Child Development & Social Welfare Department. Her journey from a quiet student to a skilled supported employee reflects what becomes possible when inclusion is not an idea but a practice.

Her achievement is not the end of a story but a beginning, a reminder that with the right environment, more young adults can find identity, purpose, and pride.
