Kegel exercises, typically known for strengthening the pelvic floor muscles, can be beneficial in managing bowel-related issues, including certain types of bowel incontinence or Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). Here's how they can help:

1. **Strengthening the Pelvic Floor Muscles**: Kegel exercises target the pelvic floor muscles, which support the bladder, bowel, and uterus. Strengthening these muscles can improve control over bowel movements, reducing the likelihood of accidents or urgency.

2. **Improving Re**al Support**: A strong pelvic floor helps support the re**um, which can be especially beneficial for people experiencing re**al prolapse or related issues. This can alleviate symptoms like incomplete bowel emptying or a sensation of pressure.

3. **Reducing Incontinence**: For those who experience bowel incontinence, Kegel exercises can help by improving the tone and strength of the muscles that control the a**l sphincter, thereby improving continence.

4. **Alleviating Symptoms of IBS**: While Kegel exercises may not directly treat IBS, they can help manage some symptoms by promoting better bowel control and reducing anxiety related to incontinence, which is a common concern for people with IBS.

How to visualize the core so you
understand how to train it and most importantly, how
NOT to train it.
The core does not function to flex and extend the spine
as with 99% of Instagram 'ab workouts πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ&.. It functions
to RESIST motion of the spine.
Think of the core as muscles that connect the thorax to
the pelvis. They 'bridge this gap' so to speak and function
to maintain this strong and stable canister shape (made
stronger with proper breathing, to pressurize the
canister).
In this position, the spine is protected. Force can be
transferred up and down the kinetic chain effectively and
you can produce maximum force through the arms and
legs.
Note also that the core muscles wrap around the torso,
they are not just located at the front of the abdomen.
Now look at the spring which represents the spine in the
presence of a weak core with poor control. That low
back is likely to sway to and fro (particularly under heavy
loads) leaving it vulnerable to injury. You'll also fail to get
strong if you can't stabilize the spine.
Direct core training, then, should comprise primarily of
'anti-movements*: exercises that challenge the core
muscles to resist the spine from bending and twisting,
and maintain this strong canister shape.

There are a few scientific reasons behind weight gain during winter:

1. **Reduced Physical Activity:** Colder weather often leads to decreased outdoor physical activity and exercise, which can contribute to weight gain.

2. **Cravings for Comfort Foods:** People tend to crave high-calorie comfort foods during colder months, leading to increased consumption of energy-dense foods.

3. **Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD):** Some individuals experience Seasonal Affective Disorder during winter, which can lead to emotional eating and weight gain as a coping mechanism.

4. **Hormonal Changes:** Changes in hormones due to decreased sunlight exposure can affect appetite and metabolism, potentially leading to weight gain.

5. **Body's Attempt to Stay Warm:** The body may store more fat in colder temperatures as a way to insulate and maintain warmth.

These factors combined can contribute to weight gain during the winter months.

POST FESTIVAL DETOX:A HEALTHY RESET PART 1

Detoxing after festival seasons can help your body recover. Consider hydrating well, eating nutritious meals, focusing on fruits, veggies, lean protein, and whole grains. Incorporate exercise, get ample sleep, and limit alcohol and processed foods. Herbal teas or infusions like ginger or dandelion may aid digestion and detoxification. Always consult a healthcare professional before starting any detox regimen.

Steroids, especially anabolic steroids, can have serious side effects when used by youngsters. Some potential side effects include:

1. **Physical Effects:**
- Growth inhibition: Steroid use can prematurely close the growth plates in bones, leading to stunted growth in adolescents.
- Acne and skin problems.
- Increased risk of injuries due to muscle and strength gains outpacing the development of supporting tissues and ligaments.
- Gynecomastia (development of male breast tissue).
- Liver damage, including tumors and cysts.

2. **Psychological Effects:**
- Mood swings and aggression, often referred to as "roid rage."
- Increased risk of developing mood disorders like depression and anxiety.
- Risk of addiction and withdrawal symptoms.

3. **Cardiovascular Effects:**
- High blood pressure.
- Increased risk of heart disease and stroke due to unfavorable changes in cholesterol levels.

4. **Endocrine Disruption:**
- Disruption of the normal hormonal balance, potentially leading to infertility.
- Testicular atrophy (shrinkage of testicles).

5. **Other Effects:**
- Virilization in females, including the development of masculine characteristics.
- Hormonal imbalances that can affect the menstrual cycle in females.

It's essential for youngsters to be aware of these risks and to avoid using steroids without a valid medical prescription. The misuse of steroids for performance enhancement or cosmetic purposes can have severe and long-lasting consequences on their health and well-being. If someone is considering steroid use, they should consult a healthcare professional to explore safer alternatives and the potential risks involved.
