Before coming to Dermatology,even I had no idea that this apparently trivial looking skin lesion can be a disease like Skin Tuberculosis.
This lady had this lesion since 1 year ,gradually increasing in size ,she ignored it first because there was no symptom at all.She came to me for a casual visit and then we did the skin biopsy test to confirm the disease .

Take home messege: Apparently minor looking things can also be symptom of a serious disease.

বর্ষায় পায়ের যত্ন..

ড.অর্পিতা হাতি আদক

বর্ষাকালে রাস্তায় জমা জলের সাথে পাল্লা দিয়ে বাড়ে পায়ের বিভিন্ন ফাংগাল ও ব্যাকটেরিয়াল ইনফেকশন,নানান এলার্জি। বিশেষত ডায়াবেটিক রোগীদের জন্য এইসময় পায়ের যত্ন জরুরী।

১। তাড়াতাড়ি শুকিয়ে যায় এমন জুতো ব্যাবহার করুন।খোলা জুতো পরতে হবে।ঢাকা জুতো পরলে পাউডার ব্যবহার করা যেতে পারে।

২।বাড়ি ফিরে হালকা গরম জলে mild সাবান দিয়ে পা ধুয়ে,ভালো করে moisturiser লাগান।পা এর ফাঁক গুলি শুকনো রাখা বিশেষভাবে জরুরী।পা মোছার একটি আলাদা গামছা বা towel রাখুন।

৩।যাদের হাজা জাতীয় সমস্যা আছে তারা পায়ের ফাঁকে clotrimazole cream (antifungal) লাগাতে পারেন।

৪।নতুন জুতো পরা এড়িয়ে চলুন,এই সময়ে জুতো থেকে হওয়া Allergic contact dermatitis বাড়ে।

৫।নখ ছোটো করে কেটে রাখুন।

৬।পায়ে ফোলা ও লাল rash বা চুলকানি হলে অবশ্যই ডাক্তারবাবুর পরামর্শ নিন।
মনে রাখতে হবে,পা আমাদের সবথেকে অবহেলিত অঙ্গ, কিন্তু পায়ের মাধ্যমে জীবানু প্রবেশ করে cellulitis এর মতো বড় সমস্যাও ঘটাতে পারে।

Sebaceous cysts are often harmless,remains as tiny bump under the skin for years,but may increase in size and get infected to cause pain and discomfort.Best way to get rid of it is excision.
