Rotator Cuff Tear
This is a common problem affecting people over 40 years of age.A sudden tear may occur due to a single traumatic event or develop progressively because of repetitive overhead actions. A shoulder dislocation (anterior, posterior and inferior) occurs when the top of the arm bone (humeral head) happens to slip out of the socket (glenoid). Forward or anterior dislocations occur when the humerus sits in front of the shoulder blade. Anterior dislocations are most common. However backward (posterior) and downward (inferior) shoulder dislocations can also occur. Recurrent dislocations and multi directional shoulder instability may occur in some cases.

ARE YOU SUFFERING FROM SHOULDER PAIN FROM SHOULDER ARTHRITIS ??
Symptoms
Shoulder Pain. The most common symptom of arthritis of the shoulder is pain, which is aggravated by activity and progressively worsens.

If the glenohumeral shoulder joint is affected, the pain is centered in the back of the shoulder and may intensify with changes in the weather. Patients complain of an ache deep in the joint.
The pain of arthritis in the acromioclavicular (AC) joint is focused on the top of the shoulder. This pain can sometimes radiate or travel to the side of the neck.
Someone with rheumatoid arthritis may have pain throughout the shoulder if both the glenohumeral and AC joints are affected.
Limited range of motion. Limited motion is another common symptom. It may become more difficult to lift your arm to comb your hair or reach up to a shelf. You may hear a grinding, clicking, or snapping sound (crepitus) as you move your shoulder.

As the disease progresses, any movement of the shoulder causes pain. Night pain is common and sleeping may be difficult.
For primary issues consult a physical therapist or an osteopath.
But for serious injury always consult a Shoulder Doctor.

FROZEN SHOULDER?
shoulder is the common name for adhesive capsulitis, which is a shoulder condition that limits your range of motion. When the tissues in your shoulder joint become thicker and tighter, scar tissue develops over time. As a result, your shoulder joint doesn’t have enough space to rotate properly. Common symptoms include swelling, pain, and stiffness. You’re more likely to have the condition if you’re between the ages of 40 and 60.
Common shoulder pain can affect anyone, but a delay in treatment can inflict the damaged area with more pain.

Did you know that the shoulder is the most commonly dislocated joint in one’s body? This is due to the amount of activity it does during a day. Essentially, it is the most mobile joint of the body, it indulges in circumduction, rotation and can move around 180 degree in all axes.
Hence, the slightest injury can cause a substantial amount of pain.

1. A shoulder injury can make any experience unbearable because of the pain associated with it. Hence the right treatment is important otherwise it can lead to disability.
2. A sudden injury may occur from a fall on an outstretched arm, a direct blow to the shoulder, or abnormal twisting or bending of the shoulder. Do not let yourself believe that it is a mere domestic incident, rather take it seriously and consult a doctor.
3.Treatment is a necessary but not sufficient condition, timely intake of medication and physical exercise is required to minimize pain and strengthen the shoulder muscles and bone.

Impingement Syndrome:-

1) Shoulder Impingement Syndrome is a clinical condition that occurs due to the tendon rubbing itself with the shoulder blade.
