We have celebrated birthday of this gentleman with his family members on 07.03.25, having Renal cell carcinoma with lung mets with Ivc thrombus who was in our icu at HCG Cancer Centre, Newtown for 12-14 days with Severe pneumonia with multiple organism Klebsiella( NDM), Streptococcus pneumoniae, and fungas Candida albicans, ARDS on invasive mechanical ventilation and prone ventilation, Septic shock. Incidents triggered by Type 4 hypersensitivity reaction followed by heart failure in post Inj Avelumab immunotherapy status. We have discharged him with home icu care.
But after few days had to admit him for fever episodes with one episodes of Sudden hypertensive heartfailure conservatively managed and discharged him successfully. Oncologist trying to plan his further immunotherapy / chemotherapy management. Praying for his good life and well being.He need CAG and further cardiology evaluation.
Excellent job done by HCG Icu team residents, nurses, coordinators, my fellow consultant oncologist, cardiologist, pulmologist.
