Institute For Holistic Health Education & Research (I.H.H.E.R) is committed to the promotion of rural health & holistic approach of the health care system for the underprivileged and the poor people by acting as a facilitator by providing health education, health care services & nutritional & mental counseling regardless of sex, religion or any other factor in order to achieve our goals. IHHER was
established on the 26th of February (Shivaratri) 2006 . This organization is registered under West Bengal Society Registration Act 1961 and also registered by the Income Tax Department(12A & 80G) of the Govt. Initially our institute was set up at a rented community hall, the Nibedita Community Hall at Habra Nagarthuba locality (village- total population around 2000) but the condition of the hall was not in good shape. The infrastructure was in a pitiable condition with the roofs made of broken asbestos and bamboos which made it difficult to operate during the rainy season due to seepage of water through the roof. Even during the summer season it was quite difficult to work as the hall acted like a greenhouse room trapping the heat inside and to make matters even worse, there was no electricity connection in the hall. In spite of all these obstacles, it did not hinder us from our objective and we started our work with a view of serving the needy and the lower sections of the society who could barely afford a living. We not only help the poor people with affordable quality check-up but also go a step further and provide them medicines for upto 5 days, that too free of cost as per our capability. Our mission and goal is to help the poor and needy people suffering from different diseases and provide them with quality treatment as much as possible.
