SIG Trichology, Patna was a truly enriching academic CME focused on advances in hair loss management and trichology.

I had the opportunity to deliver a talk on “Innovative Non-Minoxidil Preparations” for Hair Loss Management, highlighting emerging evidence-based options for hair fall treatment, hair restoration, and modern trichology practice.

The meeting also featured two engaging expert panel discussions, and I was glad to be a part of both:
• Regenerative & Adjuvant Therapies in Hair Loss
• Medical Management of Patterned Alopecia (Male & Female Pattern Hair Loss)

These discussions brought together practical insights, clinical experience, and the latest scientific updates in androgenetic alopecia and scalp disorders. Platforms like these encourage collaborative learning, evidence-based dermatology, and sharing real-world treatment strategies among dermatologists and hair specialists.

For patients struggling with hair fall, thinning hair, patterned baldness, or scalp problems, dermatology is rapidly evolving with several advanced regenerative hair therapies.

Modern hair restoration approaches now include PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma), GFC (Growth Factor Concentrate), PDRN therapy, Exosome therapy, and other regenerative hair treatments, which can complement medical management and help improve hair density, scalp health, and hair regrowth outcomes.

We had a truly enriching academic session on Cyclosporine in Dermatology, focusing on its vital role in managing Psoriasis, Severe Eczema, Atopic Dermatitis, Immunobullous disorders and other autoimmune skin diseases.

It was a privilege to share the platform with Dr Abhishek De, Dr Koushik Lahiri, Dr Sandipan Dhar, and Dr MK Sharma. With the mentorship and academic wisdom of Dr Dhar and Dr Lahiri, the ever-supportive presence of senior colleague Dr De, and the inspiring personality of Dr MK Sharma — former Health Minister of Sikkim and a wonderful human being whom I had the pleasure of meeting for the first time — the discussion became both intellectually stimulating and clinically meaningful.

🔴 For patients dealing with moderate to severe psoriasis and resistant inflammatory skin disorders, therapies like Cyclosporine, when used under expert supervision with proper monitoring, can provide:

✅ Relief from severe itching, redness & scaling
