NILD, Kolkata organized Annual Fest **KINESIS 2026**on 21st and 22nd March, 2026. Program inaugurated by Dr. Lalit Narayan, Director, NILD, Kolkata in presence of other officials and students of NILD.

On the occasion students of NILD participated in various competitions: Photography, Blindfold cooking, Reels competition, Dumb Charades, Quiz, Wall painting and other competitions.

A cultural program also presented by the students, during cultural program students presented folk dances, songs of different states and stage play.

NILD, Kolkata organized a Two-Day RCI-approved Offline CRE Program on “Rights, Roles & Responsibilities accountability in reference to RPwD Act, 2016” on 16th & 17th March, 2026.

The CRE program under the guidance of Dr. Lalit Narayan, Director, NILD, Kolkata. This program was inaugurated by Chief Guest Smt. Aloka Guha, Former Chairperson, National Trust in the presence of Dr. Ameed Equebal, Director Asstt. Director (Training), NILD, Kolkata, Dr. P.K. Lenka, Assistant Professor & Head of Department, Prosthetics & Orthotics, NILD, Kolkata and Shri. Pravin Kumar, Assistant Professor & Head, Department of Physiotherapy, NILD, Kolkata

The Resource Persons for the CRE program were: Smt. Aloka Guha, Former Chairperson, National Trust, Dr. Ameed Equebal, Asst. Director (Training), NILD, Kolkata, Dr. Bishnupada Nanda, Professor, Department of Education, Jadavpur University, Kolkata, Dr. Indranil Chatterjee, Lecturer Speech & Hearing, AYJNISHD-ERC, Kolkata, Dr. Prosenjit Majumder, Social Welfare Officer, AYJNISHD-ERC, Kolkata, Dr. Prem Kumar, Lecturer in Special Education, NIEPID-RC, Kolkata and Dr. Parimal Bera, Lecturer in Special Education, NIEPID-RC, Kolkata.

The valedictory program was graced by the presence of Dr. Ameed Equebal, Asst. Director (Training), NILD, Kolkata Dr. Bishnupada Nanda Professor, Department of Education, Jadavpur University, Shri Sougato Banerjee, DDA, NILD Kolkata, Shri. Pravin Kumar, Assistant Professor & Head, Department of Physiotherapy, NILD, Kolkata and Shri Alendra Kumar Tripathi, In-charge, Department of SER, NILD Kolkata. All participants shared their feedback on the program, expressing their experiences and suggestions.

Total 50 participants, including special educators and other rehabilitation professionals attending the CRE and program coordinated by Mr. Nayan Roy Chaudhuri, Social Worker, Department of SER, NILD, Kolkata.

NILD, Kolkata organized a Two-Day RCI-approved Offline CRE Programme on “Wheelchair Design and Modification ” on 12th & 13th March 2026 .

The programme was inaugurated by Dr. Lalit Narayan, Director, NILD, Kolkata, Dr. Ameed Equebal, Asstt. Director (Training), Dr. P. K. Lenka, Asst. Prof & HOD P&O, Mr. Alendra Tripathi, I/C SER and other officials of the institute.

The Resource Persons for the CRE Programme were Dr. Ameed Equebal, ADT NILD, Dr. P. K. Lenka, Asst. Prof & HOD P&O, Mr. Aratataran Patra, Demonstrator (P&O), Dr Damayanti Seth, Occupational Therapist(OT) and other Rehab. Professionals.

A total of 91 participants, including special educators, psychologists, and other rehabilitation professionals, actively participated in the programme.

The programme was coordinated by Mrs. Sai Prabha Mishra , Lecturer (P&0), NILD, Kolkata.

The National Institute for Locomotor Disabilities (Divyangjan), Kolkata celebrated International Women’s Day on 10th March 2026 at the NILD Auditorium.

The program was inaugurated by Dr. Lalit Narayan, Director, NILD in presence of Shri Sougato Banerjee, Dy. Director(Admin.), Dr. Ameed Equebal, Asstt. Director(Training), Ms. Rupali Sen, Associate Professor, Department of Occupational Therapy, Dr. Sriparna Das, Chairperson of ICC, NILD, Mrs. Subhra Srimani, Lecturer-cum-ANS and In-charge, Department of Nursing (Academics) and other Officials of NILD, Kolkata.

Dr. Lalit Narayan, Director, NILD, Kolkata empathize the important role of the women in the society and other dignitaries also shared their valuable thoughts highlighting the importance of women's empowerment and their contributions to society.

A special address was delivered by the Guest of Honour, Ms. Sibangi Chattopadhyay, ICC Member, NILD, Kolkata.

On this occasion a cultural programme was performed by NILD staff. As a mark of appreciation and recognition, a small token of appreciation was presented to all the female staff members and Persons with Disabilities.

Welcome address delivered by Smt. Subhra Srimani and Vote of thanks was delivered by Mrs. Eva Snehlata Kujur, Senior Occupational Therapist-cum-Junior Lecturer. Programme coordinated by Mrs. Sriyalaxmi, Special Educator, SER Department.

On the occasion women employees and students of NILD also participated in a rally, reflecting unity, empowerment, and commitment to celebrating women’s achievements. A total of 95 staff members and students attended the programme and participated with great enthusiasm.

माननीय आदरणीय प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेन्द्र मोदी जी ने पोस्ट-बजट वेबिनार, सबका साथ, सबका विकास में सहभागिता की नई परंपरा को जनभागीदारी की सशक्त मिसाल बताते हुए कहा कि पिछले एक दशक में देश के माइंडसेट में बड़ा परिवर्तन आया है। आज गाँव, कस्बा और शहर से परे भारत का हर युवा कुछ नया करना चाहता है। नई पीढ़ी का यह माइंडसेट देश की सबसे बड़ी ताकत और उज्ज्वल भविष्य की सबसे बड़ी पूँजी है। इसे कैपिटलाइज करने के लिए हमें अपने एजुकेशन सिस्टम को निरंतर आधुनिक बनाना होगा, क्योंकि भारत एक Innovation-Driven Economy की ओर बढ़ रहा है।
बजट के बाद वेबिनार की इस श्रृंखला में लाखों लोग, एक्सपर्ट, लाभार्थी और व्यवस्था से जुड़े लोग—सक्रिय रूप से जुड़े हैं। इन चर्चाओं से प्रैक्टिकल सुझाव, समस्याओं के समाधान और आगे बढ़ने की नई ऊर्जा मिल रही है।

इस अवसर पर आभासी रूप से सम्बोधित करते हुये डॉ. वीरेन्द्र कुमार, माननीय केन्द्रीय मंत्री, सामाजिक न्याय एवं अधिकारिता मंत्रालय, भारत सरकार ने संबोधित करते हुए कहा कि माननीय प्रधानमन्त्री जी की परिकल्पना है की ऐसे वेबिनार का माध्यम से समाज के लोगों को नीति निर्माण की प्रक्रिया में शामिल किया जा सके, उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि इस वेबिनार का उद्देश्य समाज के प्रतिनिधियों के विचारों का जानकर समाज की सोच को समझा जा सके, जिससे हम अपने सार्थक प्रयासों से दिव्यांगजनों के सशक्तिकरण की दिशा में आगे बढ़ सके।

राष्ट्रीय गतिशील दिव्यांगजन संस्थान के अधिकरियो एवं कर्मचारियों द्वारा वेबिनार में भाग लिया एवं महत्वपूर्ण जानकारियाँ प्राप्त की।
