What a memorable day we had at our Annual Senior Picnic! 🧡
We decided to seize the last few perfect days before the summer heat arrives, and it was absolutely worth it. The goal was simple: recreate the nostalgic charm of old-school picnics, and our seniors ran with it!
The fun began with Muri Makha—each table became a chef's station, mixing their perfect bowl of masala muri. The requests for "a little more salt" or "a dash of lime" filled the air, resulting in unique flavors all around, perfectly paired with freshly made pakoras and rolls.
We then took a refreshing stroll to the Tribal Museum, followed by some relaxing time by the water. The photo sessions amongst nature were a highlight—so many smiles! 📸
Bringing back the old traditions, we set up two senior-friendly stations where everyone tried their hand at making Beguni and Patisapta. It was heartwarming to see queues form, not just to participate, but to cheer each other on and share cooking tips.
After a delicious, elaborate lunch (that had everyone asking for seconds!), the energy shifted to fun and games. Our specially curated quizzes had everyone engaged—identifying idioms, rhyming words, and singing along to their favorite tunes. The talent and spirit in the room were unmatched!
As the day wound down, the best compliment we received was hearing, "We don't want to leave yet." Some even asked about staying over in the rooms, which provided a quiet respite for those who needed a quick rest.
We're so glad we could create a day full of laughter, connection, and joy for our incredible seniors. Until next time! ✨
