World No To***co Day was observed by Indian Public Health Association HQ and Dept of Community Medicine, Calcutta National Medical College on 31st May, 2025.

The program was inaugurated by respected guests like
- Prof Dr Subhra Mitra (Principal, CNMCH),
- Dr Sanghamitra Ghosh (President, IPHA HQ),
- Prof Dr Arghya Maitra (MSVP, CNMCH),
- Dr Surajit Ghosh (President, IPHA WB State Branch),
- Prof Dr Manidipa Roy (HOD, Community Medicine, CNMCH),
- Prof Dr Kunal K Majumder (MSVP, KPCMCH) etc.

Renowned faculty and senior members like Prof Dr Aparajita Dasgupta, Dr Rama Bhunia, Dr Shuvankar Mukherjee, Dr Debjani Sengupta, Dr Sukanta Majumdar, Dr Partha Dey, Dr Satabdi Mitra etc graced the occasion.

Prof Dr Sanjay Saha (HOD, CM, Raiganj Medical College) described To***co cessation process in detail.

Dr Shelly Shamim (HOD, Chest Medicine, CNMCH) elaborated the effects of smoking on lung in a lucid and effective manner.

Prof Dr Kunal Kanti Majumder (MSVP, KPCMCH) explained the audience about significance of this day and its theme.

There was Quiz contest themed on To***co use for UG students. There was a Poster Presentation contest as well for UG students on this year’s theme. Winner and Runner up were awarded with certificates and books by the dignitaries.

The Program was attended by delegates from different fields and sectors.

Special thanks to the President and Secretary General of IPHA HQ for thorough guidance and HOD, Community Medicine, CNMCH and all faculty of CNMCH for robust planning and excellent arrangements.

Congratulations to the team of Junior Residents who took major responsibilities and converted the event as a flawless one.

IPHACON 2025, 69th Annual Conference of Indian Public Health Association, was held at KLE Centenary Convention Centre, Belagavi, Karnataka on March 21 - 23, 2025.

The conference was hosted by IPHA Karnataka State Branch and Department of Public Health, Jawharlal Nehru Medical College, Kaher.

The conference was orchestrated with useful Pre Conference workshops, renowned Orations, important lectures on burning Public Health issues, brain storming panel discussions etc.

The organizers won the hearts of the delegates for magnificent venue, sumptuous food, warm reception, gorgeous banquets, hassle-free registration process and lucrative kits.
