Reiki Healer and Karmic Debts
A Reiki healer CANNOT interfere with the karmic debts of the person receiving Reiki.
In the Bhagavad Geeta, Lord Krishna has repeatedly emphasized that every individual is accountable for his or her deeds (Karmas). Even God does not interfere in this Divine process. Each one must face the consequences of past actions—whether in the present life or future lives. These are meticulously recorded in the Divine order and manifest according to Universal Laws at the destined time. There is no escape. The sufferings of an individual are the direct outcome of his or her own karmas.
Naturally, when a Reiki healer or any compassionate person offers help, he creates good karmas for himself—but cannot erase the karmic debts of others.
Three Types of Karmas (as explained in the Geeta)
1. Sanchit Karmas –
The accumulated karmas of past lives.
Analogy: Like a long-standing account in a reliable bank where every transaction is carefully recorded with no scope of manipulation.
2. Prarabdha Karmas –
The portion of Sanchit Karmas chosen for a particular lifetime. This decides one’s destiny and experiences in the present birth.
Analogy: Like funds, loans, or repayments selected for a particular financial year—creating assets or liabilities as per past actions.
3. Kriyamana Karmas –
Our day-to-day karmas of the present life. When unresolved, they get added to the Sanchit Karmas.
Analogy: Like daily banking transactions that continue to increase either assets or liabilities.
This explanation should help clear doubts or speculations about whether a Reiki healer can interfere with the karmic debts of others. In the spiritual world, there should be no fear or confusion on this matter.
Reiki: A Divine Gift
Remember, Dr. Mikao Usui, the founder of Reiki, attained enlightenment after years of Tapasya culminating in a 21-day fasting retreat (without food or water) on Mount Kurama, Kyoto, Japan in the late 19th century. From this realization, he shared the spiritual healing art of Reiki with the world—to relieve people from suffering.
The healer’s ability is empowered through Shaktipat (Attunement), which is harmless and brings only positive results. Even a child, once attuned, can channel Reiki.
