Badrinath Darshan
Nestled in the Himalayas, at over 3,000 metres, Badrinath Temple stands quietly on the banks of the roaring Alaknanda River. The moment you enter this space, you feel you have arrived into grace.

Unlike the intensity of Kedarnath, Badrinath carries a certain warmth… a sense of being received.

Dedicated to Lord Vishnu in his meditative form, this is a place where stillness meets compassion. The mountains stand tall, yet the energy here feels gentle, almost welcoming.

Just before darshan, a dip in the Tapt Kund, the natural hot spring it relives you of all physical pain squired over the days of long journey.

And as you stand before the deity, you realise… this is not about asking. It is about receiving.

Badrinath doesn’t overwhelm you.
It holds you… completely.

At over 3,500 metres in the Himalayas, the journey is not easy. The Kedarnath Yatra requires effort, patience, and a certain surrender. Your effort, in a way, becomes your prayer — a preparation for the darshan.
The temple stands amidst towering mountains, almost protected by them — as if held in a space beyond time.
There is a rawness to Kedarnath.
No ornamentation. Just presence.

Char Dham Yatra now takes us to Kedarnath Temple. The journey to Kedarnath invariably brings the mind to a deeper question — the nature of existence itself.

Kedarnath is one of the Jyotirlingas. It is a space of stillness, intensity, and dissolution.

At over 3,500 metres in the Himalayas, the journey is not easy. The path demands effort, patience, and a certain surrender. Your effort, in a way, becomes your prayer — a preparation for the darshan.

The landscape begins to change as you ascend.
The greenery slowly gives way to rugged terrain.
The air becomes thinner.
And somewhere along this journey, you begin to turn inward.

The temple stands amidst towering mountains, almost protected by them — as if held in a space beyond time.
There is a rawness to Kedarnath.
No ornamentation. Just presence.

You do not bow down only at the temple.
You find yourself bowing to the entire space —
to the temple,
to its surroundings,
to the mountains that hold it.

Some temples offer comfort. At Kedarnath brings to you stark awareness — of how small we are, and how vast existence is. In the presence of that which transcends time and space, one naturally begins to seek truth.

It takes reflection to fully absorb what Kedarnath offers.

The vast, snow-capped mountains, the deep blue sky behind the temple — the sheer magnitude of the experience stays etched in your consciousness.

🏔 We are going.

A visit to Gangotri is not just a pilgrimage—it is an encounter with nature in its most powerful form. Situated at about 3,100 meters in the Himalayas, it marks the origin of the sacred Ganga River. According to mythology, it is here that Goddess Ganga descended to earth, with Lord Shiva receiving her in his locks to soften her force.

Surrounded by the Bhagirathi peaks, dense forests, and the roaring river, Gangotri’s beauty is both intense and humbling. The white temple stands as a symbol of purity amidst the rugged terrain, while the wild flow of the Ganga reminds us of nature’s immense force.

Gangotri offers not just darshan, but perspective—of stillness, scale, and surrender.

Mystic Yoga is going for the Char Dham Yatra.

Heart Health & Yoga
This slide set presents a summary of our Monday session on heart health—an area that is essential to understand as we deepen our engagement with yoga practice. As our understanding of the body grows, our practice becomes more conscious, and we gain greater confidence in how we care for our health.

This Therapeutic Yoga series is designed with that intention: to help you understand how your body functions and how yoga can support better health, especially as we age.

For a deeper exploration, you can watch the full lecture on our YouTube channel. You may also read the detailed article on this topic available on the Mystic Yoga website blog.

Char Dham Yatra takes us to Gangotri after Yamunotri darshan.
If Maa Yamuna takes away the fear of death, then at the feet of Maa Ganga we are given the opportunity to cleanse ourselves.

Cleansing of sins may belong to mythology; but the effort to purify our thoughts is one of the highest pursuits.

Gangotri is where it all starts.
At 3,100 metres in the Himalayas, before the river has touched a single city, she flows pure, powerful, and completely herself.

This is where King Bhagirath is said to have prayed for thousands of years to bring Ganga to earth.
Where Lord Shiva received her in his matted locks, holding her force so the world could sustain her descent.

To be at Gangotri is to experience many things at once.
The sheer force of the river makes you feel small.
The awareness that you stand at the source of a river that has sustained an entire civilization feels almost unreal.
The sound of the water strips away illusion; reminding you how little control we truly have.

Ganga is part of our beginnings, our unions, and our endings.
And here, you stand at that very origin.

It takes time to absorb what you feel at Gangotri.
But one thing is certain - you do not leave the same.

🏔 We are going.

Yamunotri, located at an altitude of about 3,293 meters (10,804 ft) in Uttarakhand, is the sacred origin of the Yamuna River.
The river actually emerges from the Champasar Glacier near the Bandarpunch massif, a few kilometers above the temple, amidst rugged Himalayan terrain.
It is one of the four revered sites of the Char Dham Yatra, where nature and devotion meet in a powerful, quiet intensity.
