NIBS is an NGO committed to the well-being of people with various psychological problems and young drug dependents

Besides running an out-patient clinic for the treatment pf the mentally sick, NIBS organizes various awareness programs, drug detoxification and rehabilitation camps, seminars, symposiums and training programs for mental health workers. NIBS has several publications, is actively involved in research projects and offers library facilities. To expand it's activities in the sphere of preventive, curative and promotional services in mental health, NIBS runs a mental health clinic at Rangebelia in association with the Tagore Society, in the Sunderbans.
