FALS Bariatric Workshop 2025 – Advancing Excellence in Obesity Management

Yashoda Hospitals, Somajiguda, successfully hosted the FALS Bariatric Workshop 2025 – Understanding Obesity Management & Learning Multimodal Pathways, bringing together bariatric surgeons and healthcare professionals from across India.

The three-day workshop, organized by Dr. Kona Lakshmi Kumari, Minimal Access & Robotic GI Surgeon, Metabolic and Bariatric Surgeon, featured a rich blend of lectures, live surgical demonstrations, and hands-on wet lab sessions, focusing on evolving bariatric techniques, anti-obesity medications, and technological advancements in weight loss procedures. Led by eminent faculty including Dr. Satish Midha (President, IAGES), Dr. Ghanni Bhaskar Rao (VP, Central Zone IAGES), Dr. Mahendra Narwaria, Dr. Ramen Goel, Dr. Manish Khaitan, Dr. Surendra Ugale, Dr. Nandkishore, Dr. Krishna Mohan, Dr. Abhishek Katakwar, and Dr. Vijay Bada, the sessions covered diverse aspects from surgical procedures and nutrition in bariatrics to AI in surgery and long-term outcomes.
