A Mother’s Courage 💔 | Fighting Mouth Cancer for Her Baby 👶

She didn’t just give life — she fights for it every day.

At just 39, this brave mother was diagnosed with oral cancer. In pain, in fear, and with a 1.5-year-old baby in her arms — she stepped into our unit with tears and hope.

🚫 Gutkha, to***co, and late diagnosis almost stole her smile.
But today, she is fighting back. 💪

As a Maxillofacial Surgeon, I am so happy and blessed to treat her — to help her reclaim her health, her smile, and her role as a mother.

“Break the Habit, Before It Breaks You”

Today, at the Press Club Kolkata, we raised a strong voice against to***co — one of the leading causes of oral and lung cancers in India.

This impactful program was directed by Dr. Soma Mukhopadhyay, Managing Trustee, under the banner of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Cancer Hospital, New Garia, Kolkata, with a commitment to community awareness, prevention, and early diagnosis.

I, Dr. Alangkar Saha, Maxillofacial Surgeon, Department of Head & Neck Oncology, had the honor of addressing the gathering and participating in the initiative alongside our esteemed surgical team.
