This video is for practising gynaecologists.

If your patient is on semaglutide, a GLP-1 receptor agonist, and planning pregnancy: advise her to stop the medication at least 2 months before trying to conceive.

Reason: Semaglutide has a long half-life of ∼1 week. FDA recommend a 2-month washout period to ensure the drug is cleared from the system prior to conception.

If she becomes pregnant while on semaglutide: discontinue it immediately.

Counsel the patient that animal studies showed fetal harm — growth reduction, skeletal and visceral abnormalities — at clinically relevant exposures.

However, in humans: current data from accidental pregnancy exposures have not shown a clear signal for major congenital anomalies. But human data are still limited, so we cannot call it proven safe.

Also remember: Semaglutide is contraindicated in breastfeeding due to potential of accumulation in milk and unknown effects on the infant.

Stress আমাদের জীবনেরই একটা অংশ — এড়ানো যায় না, কিন্তু বেছে নেওয়া যায় সেটাকে কীভাবে দেখব। চড়াই-উতরাই না থাকলে পথটাও একঘেয়ে হয়ে যেত। কঠিন সময়টা আসলে *eustress* হওয়ার সুযোগ — ঘাবড়ে না গিয়ে যদি ভাবি “এটা আমাকে আরও শক্ত বানাচ্ছে”, তখনই stress টা অনুপ্রেরণা হয়ে যায়।

"নিয়ন্ত্রণ খুঁজুন": পুরো পাহাড়টা না দেখে সামনের একটা পাথর টপকান। ছোট জয়গুলোই বড় সাহস দেয়। “কঠিন সময়ে ঘাবড়ে না গিয়ে, সেটাকে আরও এগিয়ে যাওয়ার অনুপ্রেরণা হিসেবে নিন।”

এটাই তো distress কে eustress বানানোর মন্ত্র।
