"we have found in theory
that the intensity of birth-anxiety and aggression-anxiety depend on the existing state of libido-congestion" (p. 389).

In Memoriam

It is with deep sorrow that we inform of the passing of Ms. Sarala Kapoor, Senior Analyst and Former Secretary of IPS earlier this morning. She was 71 years old. Ms. Kapoor was a highly respected and valued senior member of the Indian Psychoanalytical Society. Over the years, her steadfast commitment to psychoanalysis, her depth of clinical wisdom, and her thoughtful engagement with colleagues and students greatly enriched our professional community. She carried her work with quiet integrity, seriousness of purpose, and a deep sense of responsibility toward the discipline. Her presence was a source of guidance and containment for many, and her contributions-both seen and unseen-will continue to resonate within the Society and beyond. The loss is deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing and working with her.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to her family, friends, and all those mourning her passing.

May her soul rest in peace. 🙏
