পরফাইরোমোনাস জিনজাইভালিস। দাঁতে থাকা ৬০০+ প্রজাতির ব্যাকটেরিয়ার মধ্যে একটি। ২০১৯ সালে এই ব্যাকটেরিয়ার উপস্থিতি আলঝেইমার রোগীদের মস্তিষ্কে খুঁজে পাওয়া যায়, যা মূলত দাঁতের ক্যাভিটি থেকে রক্তনালির মাধ্যমে মস্তিষ্কে পৌঁছায়।

এবার আসি অন্য গল্পে। ইদুর নিয়ে একটা গবেষণা হয়। দেখা যায়, ইদুরের দাঁত থেকেও একই ব্যাকটেরিয়া রক্তের সাথে ব্রেইনে পৌঁছায়। এরপর গোটা মস্তিষ্কজুড়ে তৈরি করে ব্যাকটেরিয়ার কলোনি।

কলোনিগুলো রাসায়নিক বিক্রিয়ার মাধ্যমে বিশেষ এক প্রোটিন তৈরি করে। ধীরে ধীরে স্নায়ুকোষ ধ্বংস করাই এই প্রোটিনের কাজ। যা আলঝেইমার রোগের কারণ। ইদুরের এই গবেষণা থেকে জানা যায়, এই ব্যাকটেরিয়া আলঝেইমারের জন্য দায়ী।

তবে মানুষের মস্তিষ্কে এই ব্যাকটেরিয়া একইভাবে কাজ করে কি না, তা এখনও পরিস্কার জানা যায়নি। প্রয়োজন আরও বিস্তর গবেষণার। ব্যপারটি নিশ্চিত হলে আলঝেইমার চিকিৎসার নতুন কিছু দিক উন্মোচন হবে।

We are high alert for treatment of patients since last four months since June end .
1. We are well equipped with adequate sanitizer like sodium hypochlorite, hydrogen peroxide , 70 % alcohol , chlorhexidine.

2. We are equipped with ultra low volume fogger machine for aerosol sanitisation.

3. We are equipped with HEPA 14 filter (sharp) with total area coverage of dental office and operatory.
4. We are equipped with Ultraviolet light of 90 wattage for surface sanitisation of deadly viruses.
5. We are well equipped with PPE used for single per patient by our doctors to avoid cross infections.
6.We have highly trained staffs as well as doctors maintaining all the necessary protocol for this pandemic situation in dental clinic scenario.
7. We are maintaining proper appointment timing of minimum 1hr to 1/2 hr gap to maintain sterilisation and social distancing since last 4 months.
8. We have high secured autoclave system to sterilize our regular work.
