👩🏻🍼Motherhood: A Role or A Crown That Came With Chains
Over centuries, society did something very clever.
It nobelized motherhood.
Gave it divinity. Worship. Eternal glory.
Why?
Because it needed women to give up everything — and not complain.
To sacrifice sleep, ambition, desire, identity — and still feel proud of it.
Because “mothers are godlike,” they said.
And who dares question a god?
But no one tells you this:
Sometimes, motherhood is lonely.
Sometimes, it’s exhausting.
Sometimes, it makes you forget who you are.
And in those moments, you’re not failing motherhood —
You’re just being a person. A whole, feeling, aching person.
This reel isn’t to dishonour motherhood.
It’s to remove the pedestal so we can sit beside her,
look her in the eye and say:
“I see you. Not just as a mother. But as a human.”
Because that’s where real respect begins.
✨ For every woman who has ever loved her child deeply —
but wished someone asked how she was doing.
This is for you.
