What is Episcleritis?
Your eye may appear red or bloodshot when the tiny blood vessels in the episclera—the thin layer between the conjunctiva and the white part of the eye (sclera)—become irritated or inflamed.
👉 This condition is called Episcleritis.
🔹 It usually affects one eye, but sometimes it can occur in both.
🔹 The eye may look red, feel mildly irritated, or slightly sore.
🔹 It’s generally not serious and often improves on its own.
💡 Keep in mind:
Redness in the eye can be due to several causes—from allergies, dry eyes, and pink eye (conjunctivitis) to simply being overtired.
👁 If you're unsure why your eye is red or irritated, don't ignore it.
