Recent publication of a successful but difficult Surgery (whipples procedure ) we did on a patient of pancreas cancer. The Whipples surgery which aways a formidable procedure was made even more difficult and complex because the patient had previously undergone removal of 75% of the small intestine and 50% the large intestine, leading to a very short length of remaining intestine. We had to remain extra cautious, otherwise, a patient would have ended a serious life threatening short bowel syndrome.
