Do you think, an elderly person should not get the best possible effort only because of age? I don’t think so.

He was brought to emergency in unconscious state. 𝐀 𝐛𝐢𝐠 𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐞𝐝. We call it Acute on Chronic Subdural Hemorrhage. He was also on blood thinners. That means re-bleeding chance was high enough.

Urgently, surgery was done. A Mini Craniotomy & 𝐄𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐬𝐜𝐨𝐩𝐢𝐜 Removal of clot was done. Here, with Endoscope I could achieve a total control of the bleeding source thus reducing the chance of re-bleed.

He was back to consciousness the day after surgery, though a bit of drowsiness & disorientation persisted for few days. Now, its been 3 months & 𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐥𝐤𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐦𝐲 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐥𝐲.

His smile says it all. With every patient & every surgery it’s just another wonderful opportunity to meet a person & make a relationship.

Look at this young goldsmith, who came to me with severe pain while walking/standing. He was not able to walk even 100 meters.

Discussing the Brain condition of the patient with detailed MRI discussion is very important. It makes me happy & more importantly gives clarity to the attenders of the patient.

Not only performing a surgery, even educating the patient or an attender is equally important for me.

Of course I don’t have 100% answer to all the questions, but my effort is always 100% to maximise the Safety. I believe this is the most important aspect.

Yes, it’s very much possible to walk early (within a day) after a Spine Fusion/TLIF Surgery.

Mr. X presented with low back pain & leg pain, mainly on standing & walking. He was not able to walk for more than 10min. We call it “NEUROGENIC CLAUDICATION”. It happens due to Spinal Stenosis (compression on spinal nerves).

With a Successful TLIF Surgery, he can lead a normal pain-free life again.
