Dr. Dutta completed his MBBS from S.C.B. Medical College, Cuttack (1998) and MD (Obstetrics & Gynaecology) from V.S.S. Medical College (2005). He has served as Registrar at Ramakrishna Mission Seva Pratishthan & Sarada Mission Matri Bhavan for over 5 years and trained extensively at AHIVF & IIRC, two of Kolkata’s oldest IVF centres. With over 13 years of experience in gynecological endoscopic surgery and specialized training in ultrasonography (Sion Hospital, Mumbai & Mediscan, Chennai), Dr. Dutta is a member of FOGSI, ISAR, IFS, and SOMI (Hyderabad) and has presented numerous papers in national and state-level conferences.

Nausea and vomiting are very common during pregnancy, yet many mothers hesitate to take medication due to fear of harming the baby. In this informative talk, GB Dutta explains what anti-nausea medicines contain and how safe they really are.

Commonly prescribed medications like doxylamine succinate with pyridoxine (Vitamin B6) are considered completely safe, while others like ondansetron and proton pump inhibitors (for acidity) are also widely used and safe under medical guidance. Even in more severe cases, additional medicines may be used carefully when needed.
