☀️ Summer & Pregnancy: Sip Smart for Two 💧🤰
Staying hydrated during pregnancy becomes even more important in the summer heat. The right drinks can keep mother healthy, energized, and refreshed.

💚 Safe & Recommended (Daily Use)
Fresh, natural and cooling choices are the best:
• Coconut water 🥥
• Lemon water 🍋
• Buttermilk (chaas) 🥛
• Fresh fruit juices 🍊
• Plain water (2.5–3 liters/day) 💧

🧡 Take in Moderation
A little is okay, but don’t overdo:
• Tea (1–2 cups/day)
• Coffee (max 1 cup/day)
• Cold coffee (occasionally)
• Packaged juices (sometimes)

❤️ Avoid / Limit Strictly
These can lead to dehydration, excess sugar, or harm:
• Soft drinks / cola
• Energy drinks
• Sugary sodas
• Artificial drinks

🌿 Summer Tip:
Heat can cause dehydration quickly—sip fluids frequently, even before feeling thirsty. Add natural cooling drinks to stay fresh and prevent fatigue.

A healthy pregnancy starts with small, mindful choices every day.

💊 Pregnancy is a delicate phase where even common medicines can affect the baby.
Many drugs that are safe for others may not be safe during pregnancy.

🚫 Why should you avoid self-medication during pregnancy?
🔹 Risk to the baby: Some medicines can cause birth defects or affect the baby's growth.
🔹 Miscarriage risk: Certain drugs may increase the chance of miscarriage or pregnancy complications.
🔹 Wrong dosage: Without medical advice, the dose may be unsafe for mother and baby.
🔹 Hidden ingredients: Many over-the-counter medicines contain substances not safe in pregnancy.

Common medicines to avoid without medical advice:
⚠️ Painkillers (some NSAIDs)
⚠️ Hormonal tablets
⚠️ Certain antibiotics
⚠️ Herbal or “natural” remedies
⚠️ Acne or skin medicines

📍What should you do instead?
• Always consult your doctor before taking any medicine.
• Inform the doctor if you might be pregnant.
• Take only prescribed medications in the recommended dose.
• For minor problems like fever, cough, or vomiting, seek medical advice first.

❗Remember: A small tablet can have a big impact on your baby's health.

👩‍⚕️Did you know?
Miscarriages can happen due to several medical reasons and many times they are beyond anyone’s control.

Some common causes include:
🔹 Hormonal imbalance
🔹 Genetic abnormalities
🔹 Uterine abnormalities
🔹 Infections
🔹 Autoimmune disorders

✨ Important:
One miscarriage does not usually mean a woman will have difficulty conceiving again.
However, recurrent pregnancy loss (two or more miscarriages) should be evaluated by a specialist.

📍Early diagnosis and proper medical care can significantly improve outcomes in future pregnancies.

Here are a few simple reminders for a safe celebration:
💠 Choose natural or herbal colors

Infertility is more common than many realise — and understanding the risk factors is the first step toward prevention and early care. 🌱

📍Both women and men can have factors that affect fertility.

🔎 For Women:
• Fertility naturally declines after 35 years
• Hormonal disorders like PCOS & thyroid imbalance
• Medical conditions such as endometriosis & fibroids
• Being overweight or underweight
• Previous pelvic surgeries or cancer treatment

🔎 For Men:
• Fertility declines with age too
• Smoking, alcohol, and drug use
• Hormonal imbalances & infections
• Exposure to pollution, chemicals, pesticides
• Excess heat or injury to testicles

✨ Infertility is a medical condition — not a stigma, not a blame game.

Early evaluation, healthy lifestyle choices, and timely medical guidance can make a big difference. If there are concerns about delayed conception, seeking help early improves outcomes 💛

💖 Respectful Maternity Care 💖– Every Woman. Every Birth. With Dignity.

Pregnancy and childbirth are among the most important moments in a woman’s life.
Along with good medical treatment, every woman deserves respect, kindness, privacy, and clear communication during this journey.

🌼 Respectful maternity care means:
• Being treated with dignity and compassion.
• Maintaining privacy and confidentiality.
• Clear explanation of procedures and choices.
• Taking informed consent before any intervention
• No abuse, neglect or discrimination.
• Emotional and physical support during labour.

When women feel respected and supported, outcomes for both mother and baby improve.

Let us work together to ensure safe, compassionate and respectful childbirth for every mother. ❤️

📍SAFE DELIVERY – WHAT EVERY MOTHER SHOULD KNOW

A safe delivery means giving birth in a place where both mother and baby are well cared for.

✅ It is important to deliver in a hospital with :
• Trained doctors, nurses and staffs.
• Proper equipment.
• Emergency facilities.

During labor continuous monitoring is required to keep both mother and baby safe.

Sometimes normal delivery is possible and sometimes surgery (C-section) is needed to save the mother or baby.
Both are safe when done at the right time.

After delivery, the mother and baby are observed for any complications and given the care required. 🌸

Every mother deserves a safe and respectful birth experience.

✨ Trust. Comfort. Joy. ✨

🚨 Reduced Fetal Movement – Don’t Ignore It.

Baby’s movements are signs of good health inside the womb.
Most mothers feel movements regularly after 28 weeks of pregnancy.

⏰ When should you worry?
• If you feel less movement than normal.
• If you feel no movement for 2 hours after focusing.
• If movements suddenly decrease or stop.

📊 How to check baby movements (Kick Count)
• Lie on your left side
• Count baby’s movements for 2 hours
10 or more movements = normal
• Less than 10 movements = seek medical help

🚑 What should you do?
✔ Do NOT wait till next day.
✔ Do NOT try home remedies.
✔ Visit hospital or contact your doctor immediately.

❤️ Why is it important?
Reduced fetal movement can be an early warning sign of:
• Fetal distress
• Growth restriction
• Low oxygen to the baby

👉 Early action can save your baby’s life

📍Mother knows best.
If you feel something is wrong—ACT FAST.
