L4 5 PIVD IN A 17 YEAR OLD

A 17 year old male presented with severe LBA and right lower limb radiculopathy with neurogenic claudication. He was unable to walk more than a meters.

He underwent Right side UBE L4-5 , over the top decompression, L4-5 discectomy with bilateral foraminotomy.

UBE DISCECTOMY

Unilateral Biportal Endoscopic discectomy is a revolutionary technique in Minimally Invasive Spine surgery.

- it reduces the muscle dissection and thus reduces the post operative pain.

- Minimal days / hours of stay in hospital. Even done as a DAY CARE procedure
