A Milestone in Cardiac Intervention at the District Level 👏

For the first time, a highly complex Left Main Coronary Angioplasty using four stents was successfully performed at Ambala Civil Hospital under the Haryana Government healthcare system.

In a powerful example of Public–Private Partnership in action, Meditrina Hospital operates cath lab facilities across four district hospitals in Haryana. This landmark case marks a major step forward in advancing cardiac care at the district level.

The patient had previously consulted three leading cardiac centres in Delhi, where CABG (bypass surgery) was recommended due to severe calcification in the left main artery. Angioplasty was considered extremely high-risk and technically challenging. However, the patient chose angioplasty to avoid bypass surgery.

With meticulous planning and advanced plaque modification techniques, including cutting balloons, our team successfully deployed four stents in a heavily calcified left main lesion.

✔ Excellent angiographic result
✔ Patient discharged within 8 hours
✔ ECG perfectly normal the next day

This achievement demonstrates that with the right expertise, technology, and teamwork, even the most complex coronary interventions can be safely performed at the district hospital level.
