Monsoon Diseases in Children
Enjoying the first showers of the season and jumping in muddy puddles is what most of the kids are looking forward to in this season.
All of these come with the risk of exposing ourselves to various germs and viruses. Increase in mosquito population also adds to the spread of these germs.
Most common diseases in this rainy season are Typhoid, Malaria, Dengue,Hepatitis - A and Gastroenteritis.
My taking preventive measures we can let kids be kids and safe as well.
- Good diet, safe drinking water and personal hygiene will
reduce the risk of infections significantly. Avoid street food
during rainy season. Have more Vitamin C rich foods and
green leafy vegetables to boost immunity.
- If mosquitoes are prevalent in your area, use mosquito
repellents and mosquito nets prevent Malaria & Dengue.
- Use hand sanitizers regularly
- Keep garments dry to avoid catching fungal skin infections
Consult your doctor as early as possible if you find any symptoms like constant fever, stomach ache, body ache, throat irritation etc...
